Think of it like customizable data enrichment: you ask the question, and HubSpot’s AI finds and fills the answer formatted exactly how you want it.

Example prompt:

“Does this company have any office locations outside North America? If yes, list them with city and country. If no, leave blank.”

How to Create Smart Properties in HubSpot

You can create and configure Smart Properties in several ways:

1. From the Company Index Page

• Click the Add Column action

• Scroll to the bottom and click Create New Property

• Choose your property type and enter your AI prompt

  
  

2. From Property Settings

• Go to Settings > Properties

• Create a new property and select Smart Fill

• Add your AI research prompt during setup

  
  

3. From Data Enrichment Settings

• Navigate to the Data Enrichment area

• Select Smart Properties

• Create your Smart Property and define your prompt from there

  
  

Once created, Smart Properties can be populated in two ways:

• From the index view (Smart Fill an entire column)

• From a single record (use the Actions dropdown to fill individually)

  
  

Supported Property Types

As of the latest update, Smart Properties support:

• Single-line text

• Multi-line text

• Number

• Single checkbox

• Multiple checkboxes

• Radio select
