Creating new properties often means jumping between settings and your workspace which disrupts your flow. With this update, HubSpot has introduced a streamlined side panel that lets you add properties directly where you’re working: the CRM index table.

This makes it easier to:

• Avoid unnecessary clicks and screen switches

How to Use the New Property Creation Experience

1. Go to the CRM Index Page Choose the object (Contacts, Companies, Deals, etc.) you want to work with.

   
   

2. Click the Column Header On the index table, click the header of any column to open the contextual menu.

   
   

3. Select “Create New Property” A new side panel will appear, allowing you to quickly define the property.

   • ✅ Currently supported: Text and Number fields

   • ⏳ Coming soon: Enumeration types (dropdowns, checkboxes, etc.)

     
     

4. Optional Column Actions

   • Click “Add” to insert a new column

   • Click “Remove” to delete an existing column

     
     

This workflow is perfect for quickly adapting your CRM without going deep into settings.

Who Can Use This?

This feature is available to all HubSpot users across all hubs and tiers and is scheduled for general release on May 19, 2025.
